SANDS Townsville/Thuringowa Region is a mutual support group for parents, families and friends who have experienced the death of their baby through miscarriage, termination for abnormalities, stillbirth, neonatal death or other reproductive losses. Nothing we or anyone else can do will take away your sadness. Communicating with other bereaved parents in similar circumstances may help you to deal with and understand your grief. SANDS Townsville/Thuringowa provides Monthly Support Meetings and Morning Teas to give bereaved parents a warm and accepting atmosphere in which they can share their feelings, emotions and frustrations when they are ready. There is no one proper way to grieve. Everyone is different. The right way is what seems right for you. Sometimes parents worry that they are strange or going mad; they become less worried when they know that other people feel like this too. | |
